Planned Parenthood is Austin's leading sexual and reproductive health care provider. We seek a bilingual English/Spanish appointment scheduler (call center representative) to work at our south Austin clinic. This full-time position is for an individual who is able to maintain a pleasant demeanor on the phone while communicating effectively and concisely.

Essential Duties:
Routinely answers the telephone in a professional and courteous manner and provides directions to the clinic, hours of operation, services offered, prices and referrals. Calls are answered within three rings and according to agency customer service requirements.
Makes appropriate appointments using FamPlan or gives referral information to callers and clients, including appointments and referrals for abortions, family planning and testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
Provides accurate, non-directive information to callers and clients including information about all FDA approved birth control methods, risks, side effects, infections, test for STI's, and benefits of each method, including abstinence. Provides all information needed for client to be prepared for her/his visit to the clinic.
Maintains patient confidentiality, and insures that the clinic and client records are secure.
Maintains thorough knowledge and understanding of the agency and all health care services and programs in order to answer questions and direct calls correctly and appropriately.
Takes messages that are complete, detailed, concise, spelled correctly and utilize correct medical terminology.

Non-essential Duties:
Assembles patient charts using appropriate forms and ensures that all medical forms/patient information is properly signed, reviewed, and dated.
Files patient information in chronological order, and is responsible for legible documentation of patient activity in patient's chart.
Assists in inventory and stocking of all clinic forms, brochures and front desk supplies.
