Have experience with mobile application development experience on one or more of the following platforms:


 

J2ME (+/- Blackberry JDE)
Windows Mobile (.NET CF)
Symbian
BREW
iPhone
Android




Have a good eye and keen understanding of mobile application interface design and principles
Be familiar with the location/GPS APIs on mobile platforms, including their various strengths and weaknesses

 
And you’ll get bonus points for...
 

Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, SQS, ...) infrastructure and the practical application thereof in multi-tier application architecture
Experience creating web-based applications targeting mobile platforms


Testing early, and testing often

...and even more if acronyms like ‘BDD’ mean anything to you


Having some experience with GIS and mapping systems and software

And extra bonus points if you don’t routinely swap latitude and longitude by mistake
