Please note the hours for this position: every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and every Monday and Tuesday 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. You must be willing and able to work this schedule in order to be considered for this position.



Under the direction of a Team Lead or Manager the Environmental Monitoring Specialist will be responsible for review and evaluation of routine and per process environmental monitoring (EM) sampling of classified areas and utilities. In this position you will be responsible to:

Monitor environmental performance against specifications within classified areas.
Oversee media challenge program for processing areas.
Investigate environmental excursions within classified areas focusing on root cause and protect impact.
Provide environmental support to manufacturing and testing areas as needed draft / revise SOPs
Maintain / approve Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) data.
Train employees
Author protocols for various special studies
Adhere to SOPs cGMPs and safety procedures.
Required:

Must be willing to work the following hours: every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and every Monday and Tuesday 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
In order to qualify for this position you must possess a BS degree in a relevant area. Microbiology or Biology is preferred.


Candidates with a BS in Chemistry Engineering Pharmacy or equivalent will be considered with relevant experience in environmental monitoring laboratory operations or sterile / vaccine production setting.


At least 18 months of relevant work experience in environmental monitoring lab operations or in a sterile/vaccine production or similar setting.
Excellent teamwork and communications skills both written and verbal detail oriented and able to effectively work and organize workload in a dynamic group.
Must be highly motivated able to evaluate emerging priorities and flexible in changing work assignments.
Exposure to Measles Mumps Rubella and Varicella is possible. A consultation with Heath Services regarding titers is required.
