Leads research team to generate and integrate the data from molecular biochemical and cell biology to the discovery and validation of target engagement pharmacodynamic and efficacy biomarkers

Neurological disease area expertise with strong understanding of Alzheimers Disease and Parkinsons Disease. Requires strong understanding of preclinical and clinical research environment understanding of drug discovery processes and background in use and analysis of complex datasets (e.g. Molecular Profiling RNAi screens etc)

Develops a strategy for developing candidate biomarkers for preclinical and clinical application.

Summarizes and consolidates information and data in a concise easy to understand manner and effectively communicates (oral and written) to appropriate teams and committees.
Works in a collaborative manner and makes judgments in an unbiased fashion.
Consistently displays proficiency in assembling (ie recruiting) and managing a high performance team.
Leads and advances teams in the development of state-of-the-art techniques to validate target biomarkers.
Plans directs and manages the broad range of translational (preclinical to clinical ) biochemical biomarker discovery efforts.
Translates strategy into plans and objectives for the individual group.
Manages collaborations relating to biomarkers.
Manages performance of direct reports (i.e. setting objectives; coaching; holding individuals accountable for achieving objectives and administering positive/negative consequences as appropriate; etc.)
Displays strong written oral communication presentation and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated publication record.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and to develop self and others
Exemplifies leadership. BRB

Education Requirement: Ph.D. with 6 or more years of drug discovery and biomarker development experience

Required:

? Ability to thrive in a team environment? Bioinformatics : Ability to develop computational tools and methods to consolidate and interconnect data from a wide variety of sources (public and internal) and generate ordered output for general interpretation.
