Must have a bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline with at least one year manufacturing experience in a metal fabrication environment. Responsible for preparation of quality documents, auditing, and processes that ensure company and customer quality requirements are met. Leads audits of suppliers and internal departments to assure customer requirements are being met and identifies problem areas and recommends solutions to audit findings and observations. Develop cause and corrective actions requests for deviations from requirements. Identifies deficiencies in current QA Program through participation in assigned internal audits and evaluates for appropriateness the corrective actions developed to remedy these deficiencies. Establishes and executes plans for the timely fulfillment of assigned duties and projects. Organizes own work patterns and that of others toward accomplishment of stated objectives. Make decision on disposition of nonconforming conditions and corrective actions to preclude recurring problems and interpretations of specifications. Responsible for all phases of QA functions from initial document review prior to fabrication through all phases of fabrication. Local candidates preferred but will consider candidates from surrounding states with limited relocation needs.
