THE RIGHT STAFF has an opportunity for the right person with a strong background to work at our client in the St Paul, MN Metro area.

Preferred Skill
*T-Sql programming in an OLTP environment, including experience writing stored procedures, user-defined functions, and views.
*Basic knowledge of database design in an OLTP environment
*DTS programming experience including VB Script scripting
*Ability to troubleshoot and tune T-Sql using Performance Monitor, Sql Profiler, and Execution plans
*Basic knowledge of indexes and index tuning
*Ability to analyze and propose technical solutions for business requests when provided limited specification.
*Ability to work independently in a multiple team setting


Experience
*3 to 5 years programming experience
*2+ years working in MS Sql Server
*1+ years working with DTS
*1+ year database design
*1+ year using Visual Studio .Net

Valuable Additional Skills
*Database Administration in a clustered environment
*Sql Server 2005 experience
*Data modeling software (ERStudio, Erwin etc)
*Programming experience using Visual Studio .NET 2003 in a source control environment
*Requirement gathering
