The International School of Minnesota, a private, non-denominational college preparatory school with proven success teaching World Language courses in Spanish and French is expanding its’ Chinese Language program and seeks Chinese teacher candidates to interview for the 2009/2010 Academic Year.

As with Spanish and French world language courses; the position is expected to instruct students in reading, writing, speaking, and vocabulary, as well as Chinese culture; administer and proctor tests on a regular basis, and is responsible for the students’ overall academic achievement and growth. Ideal candidates communicate clear expectations, engage and motivate students to reach their highest potential and demonstrate enthusiasm and love of learning. Candidates must be able to work within a rigorous proprietary curriculum and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Skills:
Minimum BA/BS in related field, proven successful teaching experience, and native fluency required. Masters degree preferred. Ideal candidates live within the Twin Cities Metro area and have authorization to work in the United States.
