LaForge and Budd Construction Company, Inc., expanding Midwest general contractor, has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Estimator at our Parsons, Kansas office.

The individual must be resourceful, enjoy challenging estimating projects, and be driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

* The ability to estimate self-performed work including the pricing of labor, equipment and material costs
* Produce accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings
* Assess site exposures/construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate
* Identify constructability issues through the estimating process
* Development of comprehensive estimating procedures
* Participation in internal project progress meetings
* Tracking and improving estimating accuracy and efficiency
* Building key client relationships

Requirements:

* At least 5 years of estimating experience with knowledge of heavy civil construction with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment plants, roads, bridges and drainage systems
* Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent
* Must be highly organized with strong oral and written communication skills, exhibit exceptional professional judgment, and be able to multi-task and prioritize without significant direct supervision
