The Utilities Industry Managing Principal (MP) will serve as a strategic thought leader for the Utilities vertical practice and clients in the Industry. The MP is responsible for working with the Vertical team and clients to grow revenues in the practice, and to identify new opportunities and avenues for growth. The MP will participate in new offer development and will prepare the final documentation for the formal offer roll-out. The MP will develop statements of work for complex engagements within the assigned region. The MP must be capable of clearly articulating business issues and solutions in written and oral format. The MP will act as the trusted advisor with key clients, providing strategic guidance and overseeing solution engagements in the Utilities Services Industry. The MP will matrix manage multiple consultant level employees. Performance will be measured on new Utilities Services sales/revenue and the success of the new offers developed. The MP must possess a deep understanding of IT, Security & Communications Services, as well as , the IT environments with the Vertical industry. Equipped with this knowledge, the MP will evaluate the clients business problem and the associated processes to determine the appropriate course of action. Once this is complete, the MP must determine the level of effort required and develop a Statement of Work. Oftentimes the MP will need to make well calculated assumptions to complete this task.
Requirements
4 year college degree or comparable experience A minimum of 8 years consulting experience including minimum of 5 years experience in the Utilities industry Demonstrated professional consulting and management experience Demonstrated professional consulting and management experience with enterprise information services. Demonstrated Energy and Utility expertise with knowledge of regulatory and industry standards (FERC, NERC, NRC) Detailed knowledge of the Energy and Utility Sector, including Federal, State, and Local Regulations; Critical Infrastructure Knowledge of Energy and Utility Sector technologies, including SCADA Ability to identify and create strategic solutions to address requirements of the Utilities industry Ability to lead and manage diverse consulting engagements in the Utilities industry Ability to lead and manage regional customer territory Experience managing the development and creating Statements of Work and proposal responses Must possess strong presentation and communications skills at multiple levels of an organization. Energy and Utility Sector vertical expertise. Possesses common industry certifications for area of focus or comparable industry expertise and affiliation with Industry Organizations.
