The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Degreed Production Manager for a Fortune 100 Food & Beverage Manufacturing Facility located in Los Angeles, CA.
OVERVIEW:
Responsible for all production lines in a USDA, Union plant. Provides leadership to manufacturing by developing and implementing short range plans and identifying goals and objectives to meet the plant's vision, mission and long range strategic plans. Directs and manages all business unit resources to successfully deliver results in quality, cost, safety, service, and employee moral. Full accountability for product costs; assess effectiveness and maximizing productivity opportunities that lead to continuous improvement. Develops high performing work teams to effectively meet the changing needs of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
- Confers with Purchasing and Receiving to ensure raw material testing and usage are done.
- Raw material ordering for as many as sixty different raw materials is done in a way that minimizes extra truck loads at month end.
- Complete raw material month end inventory explaining any variance to budget.
- Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
- Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product formulations, and operating or production problems.
- Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to test; Viscosity, Bond, shrinkage, wedge cracking, and application in order to improve product quality.
- Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.

Requirements
Qualified Candidates for the Production Manager position MUST HAVE a Four-Year BS/BA Degree with at least 8-12 years of previous Production and/or Plant Management experience from within a Manufacturing Facility.
Candidates MUST HAVE a solid and stable work history
in order to be considered. Candidates with a Food & Beverage Manufacturing background are highly desired and will receive first consideration
