Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Documents patient interactions as needed. Requires a high school diploma and 0-2 years of experience in a related field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to supervisor or manager. AKA: Reproductive Health Assistant, Health Care Assistant, Clinic Assistant
