FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Function
As The Manager of Inside Sales, you will provide technical support and guidance to the Customer Service and Inside Sales personnel. You will also be responsible for making decisions relating to Customer Service and Inside Sales and insure completion of duties and efficient performance in those departments. You are responsible for circulation of precise and accurate technical information to customers, supporting sales efforts through technical education and maintaining current available scientific information.

Essential Functions
-Manage Inside Sales and Customer Service on a daily basis
-Liaison with Production, Quality Assurance and Quality Control regarding products, product pricing and delivery
-Process complex project orders ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction
-Respond to customer service inquiries, sales inquiries and general customer maintenance
-Provide technical assistance when necessary and ensure good relationship with customers
-Provide leadership, training and expertise to supervised staff
-Address, with the help from technical staff, all customer inquiries relating to scientific information, product application recommendation and technical usage of products
-Track and analyze all customer complaints, identify complaint trends, recommend process or product improvements to resolve complaint trends and implement recommended improvements when possible
-Track and analyze all technical inquiries and implement improvements to product literature to address inquiry trends
-Identify popular research trends and products specifically relating to product offering
-Identify growth areas and recommend expansion of product offering to capitalize on marketing trends
-Assist in developing marketing and sales strategies to exploit research trends and maximize revenue
-Procure quality leads for Inside and Outside Sales
-Participate in new business development activities
-Propose and participate in design and content of technical marketing literature
-Assist sales force in appropriate literature fulfillment

Additional Responsibilities
-Liaison with Finance Department regarding required reports and collections assistance as required
-Ensure accuracy of work completed by subordinates
-Cross train on all primary customer service functions and assist Customer Service group with call overflow
-Maintain training in all peptide-related fields and expand expertise to other product offerings as required
-Attend critical scientific meetings and conferences to hone expertise as required

REQUIREMENTS
Educational
-Minimum requirement is a BS in Chemistry. Prefer M.Sc. or PhD
-Continuing education as needed to maintain current expertise

Experience and Qualifications
-Several years of experience in a demanding Customer Service/Sales arena
-Excellent computer skills - Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Access and MAS200
-Sales ability and capability
-3 to 5 years laboratory research experience preferred
-Peptide manufacturing experience a plus
-Technical consulting experience a plus
-Technical writing experience a plus
-Managerial experience

Supervision
Minimum of 5-6 people
