We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Epidemiology team!
In this role the chosen candidate will focus in the epidemiology of vaccines and infectious diseases. Specifically you will have the opportunity to:
Plan execute and coordinate research activities/functions analysis reports and presentation of results from epidemiologic research studies conducted within Merck Research Laboratories with that primary focus upon Infectious Diseases.
Independently handle assigned duties and trouble shooting to ensure that objectives of the epidemiologic research program are met in a timely manner.
Work closely with Marketing Clinical Research Regulatory and Safety Assessment/Risk Management.
Potentially work with external study investigators at external sites to coordinate activities for epidemiologic research programs. Education:Ph.D. in Epidemiology or closely related field or MD with Masters in Epidemiology
Required:
4 years of post-graduate experience as an epidemiologist.
2 years of experience in the field of infectious diseases.
Creative thinking the development of original concepts and unusual resourcefulness are essential for performance at this level.
Will have achieved a reputation for creative research in his/her own field.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
Desired:
Experience as a leader of teams.
Collaborative research experience analytic knowledge and industry experience.
Experience in designing implementing analyzing and interpreting epidemiology studies.
Experience in drug and/or vaccine safety.
