Our client is a reputable insurance agency offering an array of business and personal lines products. Their growth plans include a newly created Sales Manager position. You'll be the direct supervisor for 10-12 commercial insurance producers all who are at various stages of development. This is a senior level role that works in conjunction with the agency's principals to achieve desired growth and profitability goals.

As Sales Manager
* You'll review the strengths and weaknesses of the existing sales force and set forth individual development plans
* You'll create large-scale sales platforms and communicate these programs to non-production teams including client service, marketing, and operations
* You'll recruit, train, and develop new producers on sales strategies and assist with pre-sale or closing meetings; also may be involved with existing client issues in claims, marketing, and client service
* You'll forecast productivity and profitability goals, manage budgets, and identify potential expansion opportunities
* You'll stress continuing education for the sales team and identify avenues for networking with regional business contacts, programs, and associations

Sales Manager Qualifications
* At least 7-10 years of sales and management experience preferably within the insurance industry
* Understanding of how to motivate and develop an outside sales force; can serve as a communicator with staff and clients on the sales and service philosophies of the agency
* Represent the agency at trade functions, association meetings, and company negotiations
* Implement creative strategies for new business development; work with the executive team to manage these goals throughout the agency's diverse geographic locations
* Ability to travel and manage a remote sales force
