SCOPE:
We have an immediate opportunity available for an experienced SAP Federal Financial Conversion Expert. Client must improve its financial performance to serve customers, business partners, and employees more efficiently and effectively. Through the Financial Management Modernization Initiative (FMMI), they will replace legacy mainframe systems with an advanced, Web-based core financial management system that complies with Federal accounting and systems standards. The client is supporting the effort to implement mySAP ERP 2005 suite of applications, including SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Web Application Server, SAP Business Intelligence (BI) and SAP Process Integration (PI). SAP modules include Financials (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Funds Management (FM).




RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SAP Federal Financial Conversion Expert is responsible for serving as the SME on our customer's FFIS regarding usage of data within the FFIS, based upon our customer's business processes. This person will also be responsible for working with the conversion team to discuss conversion design for migration of client's FFIS data into SAP. The Conversion Expert will perform the following duties as well:

Perform analysis on the Legacy extracts from FFIS prior to loading data into SAP
Perform validation of data after it is loaded in SAP to confirm data mapping worked as expected
Assist Conversion Team members to analyze records that did not load successfully to SAP to understand root cause of the issue and corrective actions required
Report status on a regular basis to Team Lead
Must have the ability to work independently to ensure the successful and accurate conversion of data


REQUIREMENTS:



BS in Computer Science or a related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience is required, however, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience must be sufficient to consult with, advise our client, and perform the essential functions of the job. Also requires strong communication, inter-personal, and consulting type skills, as well as strong attention to detail. Must be a U.S. Permanent Resident or U.S Citizen

At least 2 years FFIS system experience

Familiarity of SAP Public Sector preferred
