We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the A/E/C industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's accounting and finance functions and performance. Maintain and report all financial statistics regarding the firm's performance, including cash flow, and financial statements.
* Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO, COO, the Board of Directors and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
* Coordination and planning with independent auditing firm during annual audit of the firm's financial statements, retirement plan, and annual overhead rate. Ongoing tax planning and coordination with independent CPA firm on all matters of corporate federal and state taxation.
* Coordinate with independent appraiser for furnishing all data as related to the annual valuation of the firm.
* Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
* Perform management related duties including recruiting, hiring, performance reviews, staff supervision, mentoring, and development of the Finance Departmental staff.
* Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and investments.
* Assist project managers and office managers with collections of delinquent accounts receivable.
* Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline. Serve as ad-hoc member of the firm's audit committee and coordinate related activities with the chairman of the committee.
* Acts as firm's agent to negotiate banking/credit relationships. Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash flow.
* Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* 10 years experience as a leader and financial executive with appropriate industry experience, preferably in the A/E/C industry. Experience in all aspects of financial accounting, corporate taxation, accounting systems, and project cost, control, and billing systems.
* An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
* A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
* A well organized and self-directed individual who is a proven team player.
* An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
