A strong predictor of success for the Field Territory Manager – Federal Government is the ability to self manage and self motivate, manage the sales process, understand the sales process, and have the drive to do all of the above. This person must have the ability to realistically assess where they are. It is important to be able to understand how to manage from a remote office and take control of business responsibilities. This person will need to have a really outgoing personality that will allow successful interaction with CRMs, inside territory managers (who they will be very closely partnered with), sales engineers, and other key managers in the organization.
Key Accountabilities: Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals. Thoroughly document all CRM activity on a daily basis or as it occurs. Complete no less than 15 face to face meetings on a monthly basis that are new, first time meetings. Collaborate with inside territory partner through daily communication Participate positively and actively in weekly, monthly and annual sales meetings and company functions as appropriate. Maintain a close rate of no less than 25% once they are 6 months into the job. As if all of that isn't exciting enough, you'll have the opportunity to work in a high energy environment, and you would get to work within a supportive team of people and sell a great product.
In order to qualify you would need to have:
Experience/Education:
•Ability to manage to change and multi-task
•Experience uncovering and evaluating strategic new opportunities
•Must have a minimum 4 years of demonstrated sales success with technology offerings in a government market
•Excellent communications and presentation skills required
•Proven track record of success with several years meeting and exceeding your quotas
•BA/BS required
•Experience in the training or education space a plus
