We have partnered with a top food manufacturer to identify an Assistant Controller. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with solid progression and experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry. This position is located near Dayton Ohio and a relocation package is available.

Description:
* Responsible for plant internal controls in conjunction with management including cycle and physical counts of raw material, fixed asset accuracy, spare parts, etc
* Lead external auditors regarding matters of plant operations and accounting needs
* Identify gaps in financial controls & analysis and develop effective processes and procedures to ensure GAAP compliance
* Perform/lead plant cost accounting responsibilities and coordinate month end close and analytics to support corporate roll-up and consolidation
* Monthly reconciliations to support corporate consolidation
* Preparation, review and analysis of plant level budgets and forecasts
* Responsible for generation of plant level SAP standard cost master data
* Compile KPI reports verify accuracy and relevance and communicate impact of these measures to the leadership team

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelors Degree in Accountin, CPA or MPA preferred
* Mus have a minimum of 5 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
* Solid interpersonal, analytical and technical skills
* Ability to communicate complex accounting information verbally and in writing
* Attention to detail ability to multi-task, prioritize, adaptability, flexibility
* SAP experience in FI CO and PPM modules; proficiency in Excel and Word
