Very dynamic largecap in Miami establishing a competitive intel and research group and looking for someone to manage a small group: collect, track and analyze market/ competitive intelligence. This team will support several divisions and their decision-making needs across the corporation. This team will be focused on B2B market research and competitive intelligence.
Responsibilities include: Establish and maintain market intelligence framework and fact based tracking of current, adjacent and potential markets. Conduct research supporting corporate growth strategy, strategic planning process, and business development needs. Develop market/ competitive intelligence briefings for senior executives. Research/ analyze market characteristics & trends, acquisition trends, emerging issues. Conduct strategic competitor assessments. Conduct research and develop target company profiles supporting M&A activities. Research and support Market & Credit Risk function related to current and prospective customers/ partners. Support sales providing client company background and development opportunity information
The Manager Competitive Intelligence and Research reports to the Director of Strategy and will work very closely with senior management. High visibility position.
Requirements:
We are looking for significant experience in market research and analysis and appropriate tools. Excellent financial analysis skills are a must and a combination of business development and strategic planning experience at international corporations would be a plus. We are looking for: a Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing Research, Social Science, or relevant discipline. MBA or MMR (Masters in Market Research) preferred. At least 5 years experience designing, analyzing, and managing external research in a multinational company and/or consulting firm. Strong analytical skills. A high level of competency and experience working in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as online search databases. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational skills/ task-oriented/ meet tight deadlines and very strong attention to details
