We currently have an outstanding opportunity for an AP Payroll Specialist in Monterey, CA. This positon i s responsible for supporting payroll and accounts payable functions to ensure timely and accurate employee and vendor payments. Essential Accountabilities: Audit invoices for proper coding and appropriate authorization, and submit to the Corporate Accounts Payable department for payment. Act as liaison to Corporate Accounts Payable, CTB vendors, and employees regarding accounts payable inquiries. Audit payroll files from secondary suppliers and reconcile against data in Kronos. Enter new hires and set up proper authorization into Kronos system for secondary suppliers. Maintain changes in data accordingly. Set up Multiple wage profiles for Handscoring sites. Recording of Electronic payments from secondary suppliers in our year to date file and reconciliation to data from original payroll files and Kronos. Report any billing discrepancies back to secondary supplier for response. Prepare Journal entries for month end close Required: 2 years previous clerical experience required, preferably in a corporate environment. Minimum 2 years experience in accounting related field. Minimum 1 year with account reconciliation and processing experience. Must have 1 year of demonstrated customer service experience. Basic proficiency in written and oral communication skills required and the ability to work with all levels of employees required. Beginning to Intermediate proficiency of Word, Outlook, Access and Internet Required. Intermediate proficiency in Excel. Intermediate proficiency in interpersonal, organizational and time management skills. Minimum 50 WPM accuracy rate Individual should be a team player and detail oriented Must be able to maintain confidentiality. 2 years experience with timesheet and tracking systems, preferred: Kronos Time and Attendance Ability to solve and prioritize complex conceptual problems, and implement problem solutions proactively and timely. Experience working in a team environment (Including cross-functional teams) Executes efficient customer service skills in the best interest of both customer and company. Preferred: Associate degree in Accounting. 1 year experience of the Cost Accounting Management Information System.
