The Web Systems Administrator is a challenging position inside the IT Infrastructure Operations department that offers exposure to many visible projects and the opportunity to participate in shaping
the future of the company’s IT systems. He/she will be the technical expert accountable and responsible for supporting and maintaining web site availability, systems and network operations across a complex hosted web environment.

Principal tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Maintain production web site availability
•Server system operations and support consisting of Windows 2003, SQL 2000 and 2005, IIS 6,Exchange 2003, Xenserver, and Linux
•Active Directory administration and support
•LAN, WAN, and infrastructure equipment support and maintenance
•Being on and working with project implementation teams
•Leading the change management process
•Determining and maintaining systems security
•Maintaining recoverability and backups
•Working with management on DR/BCP
•Creating and maintaining documentation for critical systems and procedures
•Working with internal development team on project implementation
•Recommending improvements and/or operational efficiencies
•Evaluating, testing, deploying, and supporting new technologies
•Participating in setting goals and objectives for dept
•Being in the 24x7 on call rotation

Required Qualifications
•Experience with large scale ecommerce web sites running IIS
•Advanced IIS 6 and .NET server administration and trouble-shooting experience
•BS or equal exp. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
•Minimum of 6 - 8 years exp. in systems and/or network administration running Windows Server with IIS
•Strong background in systems and networking concepts including IIS, database clustering, virtual servers, TCP/IP, DNS, and Active Directory
•Strong understanding of equipment including “Wintel” platform hardware, SAN gear, load balancers,routers, switches, and terminal servers.
•Strong troubleshooting skills
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
•Basic SQL Administration
•Basic Cisco router and switch experience
•Basic Linux system admin experience
•Knowledge of monitoring systems using WMI
•Knowledge of administrative scripting tools and capabilities
•MCSE/MCP
