Product: Oncology

Territory: Greater Toronto Area / Hamilton

Reporting to the National Sales Director the Oncology Clinical Specialist representative (OCS) is responsible for achieving annual sales and business objectives within his/her geography. These objectives are achieved through partnering with physicians and other healthcare professionals in and beyond teaching and community hospitals and cancer agencies/centers with the goal of changing prescribing behaviors closing health care gaps and improving patient outcomes.

The OCS effectively demonstrates ownership for the business on his/her assigned territory by understanding fully the health care environment assessing and identifying the key customers (HCPs) and by engaging in the right mix of activities in support of assigned product(s) while ensuring a customer focused approach.The OCS is knowledgeable about key account management principles and works with multiple stakeholders in assigned accounts to achieve business goals. He/she integrates and collaborates with other sales representatives Medical Science Liaisons and other team members to consolidate plans aimed at addressing customer and MFCL needs and optimizing patient management.

The OCS represents MFCL in a complex business environment that is constantly being shaped by competitive activities government legislation hospital practices and technological developments.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor degree strong preference for health science biology oncology or hematology. Masters degree preferred. CCPE certification
Language: French English Level 3 (Quebec only); English Level 3 (all other provinces)
Experience: Sales Representative experience (minimum of five years calling on specialists) required in the pharmaceutical biotech industry. Oncology sales experience required. Advanced CCPE Certification (desired)
Knowledge of hospital environment and formulary listing process is required.
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding objective and goals.
Broad comprehensive level of scientific knowledge of products disease competition & pharmaceutical industry
Knowledge of the hospital buying process
Experience in key account management
