ABOUT THE COMPANY:
The Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) has been created by leading impact investors from around the world to promote the activities, research, education, and institutions that can accelerate the industry's maturation, and ultimately drive capital to solve previously intractable social and environmental challenges. The GIIN is a platform for the industry leaders to coordinate the development of effective market mechanisms and industry infrastructure needed to enable growth in the scale and effectiveness of impact investing.
The GIIN will manage several core pieces of the impact investing industry's infrastructure, including a series of projects related to the reporting and measurement of social and environmental impact. These include the Impact Reporting and Investment Standards (IRIS), which has been created by a coalition of leaders in the impact investing industry, led by the Rockefeller Foundation, B Lab and Acumen Fund, with support from Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers. IRIS includes a taxonomy containing a common language of definitions related to social and environmental impact and supports the reporting and storage of data generated in conformity with this language.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial and mission-driven individual to influence the dynamic, emerging Impact Investing sector. Reporting to the Director, IRIS Initiative, the Technology Manager for Impact Data and Reporting Standards (IRIS) will be responsible for the development, execution and oversight of policies and protocol related to IRIS and the data aggregation facility used to collect, store and analyze data produced in accordance with the IRIS standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Data Repository Management:
* Establish policy on use and release of aggregated data as well as data quality
* Establish assurance policies and outreach plan for adoption, with IRIS Director-Staff and oversee, along with IRIS Director, working group/consulting group to develop an audit guideline for IRIS
* Assess security requirements and establish security protocols
* Select requisite security tools and implement security measures
* Administer user access to ensure authorized data providers can interface with the Data Aggregator
* Maintain general Data Aggregator, monitoring, tracking, reporting on performance and usage and key success metrics
* Establish and oversee process for data repository and aggregator integration with other legacy systems
Data Collection:
* Assist organizations in taxonomy implementation and train staff at organizations on taxonomy use
* Collect feedback on technology platform feature development and oversee technology upgrade
* Train staff at implementing organizations on taxonomy use

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
* Passion for the use of investment capital to address social and environmental problems, a deep commitment to the growth of the impact investing industry, and belief in the role that high-quality information can have on social and environmental issues
* Team-orientation, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, effectively building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Entrepreneurial style, with an enthusiasm for working in a dynamic start-up environment
