Click Here to Apply OnlineThe Corporate Interactive Marketing Department, located in Pleasanton, California, has an opening for a eCommerce Product Manager.
Responsible for managing Safeway's eCommerce web site presence to meet the business performance requirements of the eCommerce Team by driving effective user experiences, analytics, and incremental online transactions. Additionally, this role will be responsible for development and ongoing business support for core tooling that is leveraged by the entire Interactive Marketing Platform. This tooling includes:
•Platform Analytics through Omniture
•Master Data Management using IBM WCS technology stack
•Platform Search using Omnifind
Qualifications:
•Bachelors degree in web marketing, project or product management technical field or related experience
•6-8 years in technology related product or project management
•2-3 years previous experience in eCommerce related environment
•1-2 years experience with search engine and analytics package implementations
•Grocery retail implementation background a plus
•Excellent written communication skills and proficient knowledge of grammar and syntax
•Deadline driven, independent professional who is able to multi-task in fast paced environments
•Strong knowledge of eCommerce web site and user experience management
•Team oriented with a track record of excellence in internal and external customer service
•Experience with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and internet technologies
•Experience with CSS and Java is desired.
• Implementation knowledge of IBM Websphere Commerce, Interwoven Content Management, Manhattan Order Management and Warehousing, Omniture Web Analytics a plus.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Manage eCommerce web site content, functionality, user experience, and support tools.
• Manage IM team (Project Management, Creative, Production) and agency partners to implement site programs and changes. Direct technology team as it relates to support and development prioritization.
•Manage site features, product data and functionality update process.
•Manage and prioritize work effort for eCommerce content specialist.
• Collaborate with Operations Team and Interactive Marketing to understand eCommerce business priorities, required programs to implement, and performance targets to achieve
•Develop Business Requirements Documentation for initiatives to be implemented on ecommerce site
•Monitor site effectiveness and leverage usability testing to identify new opportunities to improve site performance
•Monitor competitor activity and technical trends
•Develop quarterly roadmap, IT project and resource planning and ultimate delivery of new functionality.
•Support documentation, training and rollout of new functionality to all impacted organizations
