Director Ecommerce Applications - LCW

Company is a Top Internet Retailer, with a new CIO and new vision! Lot's of change within the organization and building for the future and expansion. Company has cash to build out the area to support an already stable but aggressively growing business! This person will be instrumental in growing the setting the technical vision and growing the group!
Must have proven Ecommerce experience
. This person must understand the internet and understand business on the web. Will manage several web development teams (15 people comprised of Managers, Developers and Consultants). Should be a very strong team builder. Staffing, budgeting, etc. Need to have several years managing an eCommerce application development group. Really want someone who can drive the team and the business. The internet is stable and running but the business keeps coming in so they are swamped. Need to be innovative with new ideas, handle the business and scale out. Technical environment is Java, Websphere and Ecommerce Server, etc.
The Director should be someone from an Ecommerce background. B2C is preferred. B2B will be considered if you have a “high volume” background. In addition to leading the technical aspects of the division and having a strong architectural background, this person will have heavy interface across the business
to assess business needs, strategize and deliver solutions and products.

The Director will have lots of Sr. Executive contact and communication with the Presidents of divisions and all business lines. Will also work with architectural and project management teams to complete product roadmaps, schedules, and improvements to the processes. In particular, will plan and manage the web application portion of the product development schedule. Must excel at relationship building with the business people. Have solid technology foundation (along with latest trends), Strong processes background or PM, work with the PMO team and interface heavily with the business. Bottom line goal will be to leverage the internet as a channel of distribution and electronically enable core businesses around the world…partnering with business units to generate revenues online.
