National Transportation Firm is seeking an ITS/Traffic Engineering Department Manager for its Arlington Virginia Office
The Successful Candidate will:
* Be responsiblefor direction and supervision of a staff of 10-15 ITS/Trafficprofessionals, while managing a Department revenue usually is in excess of$1.5 million per year.
* Responsiblefor maintaining and developing existing and new Client relationships.
* Coordinateproject priorities, staffing schedules, and staff assignments to ensureclients are provided the best design capabilities to meet their needs.
* Responsiblefor planning, organizing, developing, and maintenance of designengineering programs and efficient, productive utilization of staff inproviding high-quality service.
* Coordinateactivities of engineering department or section.
* Assignpriorities and staff to jobs.
* Coordinatetime and budget on jobs.
* ProvideQuality control
* Supervision of staff of10-15 ITS/Traffic professionals.
* Maintain and develop existingand new client relationships.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering
* 12 years of experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Traffic Engineering.
* Must have a strong technical background in ITS systems and design.
* Experience working on DDOT, VDOT, MSHA and/or MdTA projects preferred.
* Strong management, marketing and business development skills required
* Planning, Organizing, Market and business development skills required.
