RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

Under general direction, provides leadership to manage and direct the energy and sustainability line of business sales team's sales efforts, activities, and results. Implements line of business strategic sales business plans consistent with Global Workplace Solutions mission and objectives. Understands the business environment of the target market segment. Develops, executes and leads sales and account strategies to achieve energy and sustainability line of business sales objectives. Executes plans to meet line of business profitability, growth, market penetration, account management, opportunity management, and customer satisfaction objectives. Analyzes the market and current business performance. Assists in the recruiting, training, and development of Business Development Directors. Leads the Solution Development function, which is required to design competitive energy and sustainability solutions.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

1. Delivers assigned energy and sustainability line of business sales team business results. Develops strategic sales and segmentation plans, account plans, and annual sales plan for the Line of Business. Responsible for all aspects of sales planning, measurement, and results; including, revenue, margin, staffing, productivity, and activity management.
2. Leads Business Development Directors utilizing established sales performance measurements, processes, and tools.
Facilitates the development and implementation of process and productivity measurements and review.
3. Utilizes sales management practices consistent with Sales Management disciplines. Sets standards for sales performance. Ensures the development of high level consultative sales personnel through coaching, mentoring and performance assessment. Tracks and qualifies opportunities in the sales pipeline to ensure appropriate focus and resource allocation to the best opportunities. Trains salespersons on designated market segments and may consult with JCI Training and Development to design appropriate training based on unique market segment needs.
4. Sets aggressive goals to ensure market segment business plan is met. Manages proper staffing and account assignment level relative to market segment objectives. Supports delivery strategies through the program delivery teams. Plan, build, and organize a team to meet business objectives for assigned Key and Target accounts.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or a related field, MBA preferred. Eight to ten years experience in a sales position related to energy services, including five years of sales management experience and direct sales experience. Demonstrated knowledge of industry and company products and services.
