Click Here to Apply OnlineThis is a one person large department. This person is responsible for being the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the EhR systems. This includes but is not limited to coming up with policies, procedures and best practices. The EHR that they are running is called Allscripts, which is similar to Mysys. These systems deal with billing issues, claims, and EMRs (electric Medical Records) as well as have reporting capabilities and work flow capabilities from a clinical stand point. These systems also deal with other functions such as Practice Management systems and Vendor Management.
This position is responsible for serving as a liaison between field staff to ensure that services standards, systems functionality, and process / workflows are properly implemented and maintained. As the liaison, he/she will coordinate to provide implementation, identify process improvements, conduct reporting and auditing, and is a resource for level two application help desk activities. Serves as systems super user and assists the Clinical Practice Manager to ensure high level of efficiency in all aspects of practice management activities. Facilitate communication between primary offices and corporate to ensure proper and efficient integrated workflows.
Responsibilities:
* Serves as the first line of contact and considered the super user / subject matter expert for all applications
* Manages and resolves complex problems in coordination with the team
* Completed audit process and follow up as identified to adhere to workflow, compliance, and performance standards.
* Assists in development and implementation of PM/EHR training, support activities, and monitoring functionality usage

* MS Office * development and maintenance of flowcharts, spreadsheets and reports
* Strong understanding of clinical workflow processes and medical terminology; Hospital or multi-facility medical practice preferred
Experience Required
* Bachelors degree in health care, IT or business related field required
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with PM/EHR in practice management setting
* Minimum of 2 years in healthcare IT setting, preferably with healthcare technology
* Experience in SQL integration and Crystal reporting services helpful
* Knowledge/experience in ICD-9 and CPT coding guidelines preferred
* Strong computer skills in Microsoft office products
* Knowledge of practice management system(s) preferred
* Project management experience required
* Experience working in a technical role in the software industry with a Practice Management or EMR/EHR preferred
