Job Description :
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales for Wholesale Services and will sell to one or more of the company's wholesale partner segments. The wholesale partner segments are defined as ILECs, MSOs, VARS, and CLECs. The primary role is to successfully penetrate the carrier partner accounts, ensuring that sales targets and quotas are met or exceeded. This may entail penetrating new partner accounts and/or increasing penetration within existing accounts. This role is defined as a “player/coach”, where the Sales Director will both lead and manage a sales team and also have direct account responsibility. The Sales Director and his/her team will be selling a mix of legacy products and higher bandwidth network based products and services being delivered on the 2009 product roadmap.The Sales Director will lead a team of resources in support of the sales cycle. This will be achieved via direct and matrix management skills. Requirements :
• 5 years of sales management experience• 5-10 years of successfully selling into MSO, ILEC, CLEC, and/or VAR accounts• Strong knowledge of Broadband Technology• Experience Selling to Wholesale Partners • Experience with Solution or Value Based Selling• A Rich network of senior contacts within the Carrier Market
