What You'll Do Perform Hyper- and multi-spectral data exploitation for the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), Charlottesville, VA Analyze data for spectral projects in the application of remote sensing technology to solve military and intelligence problems. Work both independently and in a team environment, integrating the efforts of other analysts. What You'll Need B.S. in remote sensing, optical physics, or related technical field (M.S. preferred) 5 or more years experience in multispectral and/or hyperspectral data analysis is required. Experience using ENVI data analysis software. Good organization skills and good interpersonal communication skills are required In-depth knowledge of automated target recognition (ATR) algorithms, sensor calibration routines, atmospheric correction models, and spatial filtering techniques Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, is required Experience with using SPEAR data analysis tool is a plus. In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level will be considered. Each higher level degree, i.e. Master's degree or Ph.D. may substitute for two years of experience. R elated experience may be considered in lieu of education.
