Our client, an online furniture retailer is looking for a Director of Product and Merchandising whose main job responsibility will be to oversee the growth and expansion of company's new merchandise and web sites. This role will be critical in the development of new websites by sourcing new manufacturers and merchandising current and new products. The Director will work closely with CEO, CTO, and Customer Experience. Our client is a rapidly growing furniture company. There is significant opportunity for advancement with working for our client.

Job Responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with furniture and home good manufacturers
- Maintain, manage and prioritize new product pipeline
- Work with technology and marketing team to launch and merchandise new and existing products
- Manage and train product coordinators using current new product process
- Quality Assurances of new and existing product launches (Upload to live)
- Analyze online merchandising and marketing efforts to increase ROI and profits
- Create product groupings and other essential merchandising elements (e.g., cross-sells, upsells, etc.) to drive conversion
- Knowledge of PPC Search, shopping feed, and affiliate marketing
- Suggest and develop new website, product, and new product process enhancements
- Monitor industry and competitive trends to strengthen overall business position
- Analyze, set, and track vendor performance

Position Requirements: (MUST HAVE)
- Minimum of 5-10 years experience in the Furniture Industry a must
- At least 2-3 years experience Buying and Merchandising Furniture
- 3-5 years experience with online retailers
- Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
- 4 year degree

Skills:
- Expert in furniture buying/merchandising
- Previous retail experience a must
- Results oriented, business person with successful career track in online retail buying, marketing, merchandising.
- Communication excellence - experience communicating complex issues in a simple to understand and actionable way.
- Ability to succeed in an extremely fast paced, demanding environment which requires a high degree of multi-tasking and ability to deal effectively under deadlines and pressure
- Must be able to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Have intermediate knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) is preferred, as well as an agility with web-based software applications and internally-developed systems.
