Please have previous insurance sales experience to be considered. Commercial experience is a plus.

This position can be based anywhere in NC, VA, or WVA.
My client is a leader in the insurance business, specializing on corporate sales. The company sells programs to include customized property and casualty insurance. This position would target hardware stores, lumber and building material dealers and rental operations. Products sold range from property, business auto, worker's compensation, builder's risk, floor and many other forms of coverage based on the client's needs and budget.

The chosen candidate is primarily responsible for marketing and distributing the company's products in a profitable manner. The candidate would prospect outside the firm for new customer relationships, develops and maintains current relationships, develops referral sources with the existing customer list, and provides advice to customers by informing them of current market trends and analysis.
Other responsibilities include, maintaining a profitable level of sales to exceed their annual sales objectives.

Job Requirements:
Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance market or ability to learn quickly.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service attitude and sales skills.
Ability to assess specific customer needs, recommend appropriate strategies, offer products to meet those needs, and compel customer to act upon those recommendations.
Ability to proactively communicate insurance product benefits to customers.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in a pressurized environment.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent is required.
Property & Casualty License (P&C)
Self starter who has the discipline to work independently.
50% overnight travel.

Base plus commissions
