* Responsible for developing market requirements, size and opportunities
* Responsible for creating and disseminating product strategies
* Measured on revenue and profitability growth and targets
* Customer and tradeshow visits.
* World wide market vertical responsibility
* Developing market requirements, channel and approach, size and opportunities
* Creating and disseminating product strategies through a strategic communication strategy
* Developing pursuit strategies for new business opportunities
* Developing and briefing pursue/no pursue and bid/no bid recommendations
* Continuously develop pipeline of highly profitable business
* Working in high technology environments and establishing personal relationships with government and industry customers at all levels
* Creating and administering Business Development processes and effectively communicating to senior internal and external customers
* Developing a familiarity with Electronic systems, to include operations, customers and acquisition processes
* Successful candidate should have an established relationship with one or more of the applicable industry primes.* * Continuously analyze pipeline of business; assess and define broad market, and present strong argument to target markets including key success factors to win* * Ability to build customer relationship for business sustainability and profitability
* Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
* Good market sensing skills and able to translate market dynamics and trends to business implications and opportunities
* Proactive, Dynamic, a Team player who can work seamlessly externally and internally throughout all levels of the organization
* Conduct financial analysis and interpretation of Elo market vertical performance
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Strong analytical and financial skills
* Strong communication skills (written, oral and presentation)
* Ability to build customer relationships
* Sound technical background
* Ability to translate customer needs and issues into a viable solution
* Ability think strategically and plan long and short term actions
* Ability to assess and manage risk
Education/Experience
* Bachelor's Degree – Technical Field (Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferred)
* Market vertical experience
* MBA preferred
* 7 years of Business Development experience
* Understanding of budgeting and roadmap processes
* Experience developing complementary strategic plans
* Experience with market analysis
* Experience leading successful structured proposal activities
* Experience with electronic systems or products
* Proven track record of setting and meeting new business goals
* Startup experience a plus
