Maintenance Manager


A very prestigious manufacturing company located in the OH area, is looking to hire a Maintenance Manager. This position would report to the General Manager. Ideal candidate will be able to Plan, direct, coordinate and budget, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the maintenance of heavy industrial equipment, machines, facilities, and systems. Develops a proactive maintenance process and oversees its organization, scheduling, and implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
CMRP MAJOR PLUS
* Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the maintenance of heavy industrial equipment, machines, structures, facilities, and systems
* Inspect and review maintenance activities to monitor compliance with all safety and environmental codes, regulations, permits and company policies
* Direct and supervise subordinates
* Authorize requisitions for supplies and materials to complete maintenance projects
* Prepare, submit, and manage department budget
* Take actions to deal with the results of unplanned downtime, bad weather, or emergencies
* Investigate damage, accidents, or unplanned downtime, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out
* Make decisions and solve complex problems that significantly impact the business
* Plan and organize work of department to minimize unplanned downtime of production equipment, machinery, facilities and systems
* Confer with vendors or suppliers to obtain materials or services in accordance with appropriate company policies
* Manage major maintenance or capital projects
* Oversee execution of organizational rules, policies and union contract
* Estimate materials or labour requirements for capital or maintenance projects
* Estimate time or cost for installation, repair, for capital or maintenance projects
* Address performance and behaviour issues promptly and tactfully
* Use long or short term maintenance planning techniques
* Use project management techniques
* Explore new ways to improve department performance


Education Requirements / Work Experience:
Must have Bachelor's Degree 8-10 years of work experience Salary
