Position Summary: Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Business Development will be responsible for the overall management of the Company’s domestic and international business development. Responsibilities: * Serve as a key member of the executive team that sets the company’s strategic direction * Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy and global business development strategy * Develop new markets, sectors, and customers * Development of strategic partnerships internally with Engineering Operations and Product Groups, as well as externally with key customers * Manage complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required * Lead and develop the business development team
* Technical competence * 15-20 years related experience: engineering development, sales, marketing, business development or consulting * Preferred industries: firearms, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or high tech; experience with government contracting knowledge preferred * Track record of building new business * Demonstrated collaboration and influencing skills required * Entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, risk-taker * Strategic, able to envision a future different than today, but patient enough to get us there! * Good multi-tasker with exceptional organizational skills * Strong change agent

Education/Training Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field (Engineering or Business degree preferred), MBA preferred
