This Corporation, a leading provider of 3rd party O&M services to the Independent Power Industry, is currently recruiting for a Plant Manager. It is an approximate 30-megawatt wood-fueled biomass facility near Burney, California that sells all of its electrical capacity and energy to Pacific Gas and Electric Company under long term contract.

The Plant Manager is responsible for directing all Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities at the plant. The Plant Manager assures that an adequate supply of manpower, tools, equipment, and spare parts are available at all times to provide for the safe and efficient operation of the plant. The Plant Manager assures that the plant is operated in compliance with applicable safety, environmental, power generating, and contractual requirements to achieve consistently superior performance as evaluated by both objective and subjective measures.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent experience required

-10+ years of power plant or similar experience required

-At least 3 years experience supervising technical, supervisory and administrative personnel

-Strong leadership and motivational skills required

The ideal candidate will have IPP experience.

Conventional boiler experience necessary.

Co-generation experience useful

This is a wood burner facility and the Company is responsible for purchase of fuel.

This plant is between 15 - 20 years old, we need someone who can handle maintenance issues while managing capital dollars and providing financial analysis to both the plant owner and the corporate office.
