JOB DESCRIPTION
POST TITLE: Production Control Manager GRADE: 18
FUNCTIONAL AREA: Directorate of Logistics
REPORTS TO: Director of Logistics LOCATION: Abu Dhabi, UAE
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Integrates budgets, manpower, timelines and repair parts that are linked to both the maintenance and supply operations. Responsible for the planning, scheduling and monitoring of both unscheduled and scheduled maintenance. Reviews maintenance data in order to identify maintenance program deficiencies and recommends improvements. Responsible for developing and implementing quality directives as part of the ISO 9001:2008 program.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the planning and scheduling of both unscheduled and scheduled maintenance based upon the Annual Service Plan, available manpower and their associated skill sets, estimated timeframes for the accomplishment of maintenance actions, training events, the availability of special tools, test equipment, materials and repair parts.
Responsible to ensure that all Production Control personnel initiate, monitor and update the progress of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo).
Establishes and maintains a management reporting system that will assist in identifying negative trends, streamline workshop operations, and institute best practices throughout all workshops.
Receives, reviews, consolidates and submits all maintenance and repair reports as necessary.
Oversees the historical filing of all completed vehicle maintenance work orders as required.
Manages and directs Production Control workflow via routine production meetings.
Ensures a historical filing system is established and maintained for all completed maintenance work orders.
Ensures standards of repair are defined and documented in the written polices and procedures and in accordance with applicable technical manuals and data.
Ensures the quality of work performed by subcontractors is evaluated, discrepancies noted and corrected.
Provides as necessary data historical records, trends and projected volume of work for initiation and submittal of the annual budget.
Links Key Performance Indicators (KPIS) and Quality Standards in the contract and meets the stated goal.
Performs additional duties as required by the Director of Logistics (DOL).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree is preferred
7 to 10 years previous experience in Production Management of a large multi-disciplined workforce is mandatory
Previous military exposure is preferred
