We are currently recruiting for a Legal Translator to accurately translate material, either written or spoken, from one language to another, ensuring that the meaning of the translated material is retained.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Translation of legal documents, office letters, governmental laws, office policies and other documents into English & Arabic.
• Check translations of technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain consistent throughout translation revisions.
• Compile terminology and information to be used in translations, including technical terms such as those for legal or medical material.
• Discuss translation requirements with Management.
• Proofread, edit, and revise translated materials.
• Identify and resolve conflicts related to the meanings of words, concepts, practices, or behaviours.
• Refer to reference materials such as dictionaries, lexicons, encyclopedias, and computerized terminology banks as needed to ensure translation accuracy.
• Travel with or guide employees who need assistance in speaking Arabic/English.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of company and employee documents at all times.

Specific skills required:
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English & Arabic.
• Microsoft Office and computer literacy.
• Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
• High level of professionalism and personal presentation at all times.
• Able to understand and adapt to cultural sensitivities.
• Problem solving/lateral thinking skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritization.
• Able to work under pressure to demanding time pressures and to meet deadlines.
• Five to seven years prior work experience.

Candidates should hold a Bachelors degree in English language or a related field qualification and must hold an equalization certificate from the Ministry of Higher Education and an approval to work as a Legal Translator by the Ministry of Justice.
