JOB DESCRIPTION

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the following:

* Assisting the Sales Representatives in qualifying enterprise information management and storage solutions.
* Actively participates in sales presentations and proposals.
* Assists Sales Representatives with solutions strategies.
* Act as an interface with the professional services team in ensuring storage solutions requirements are met.
* Architect, design, develop, justify and present enterprise information management and storage solutions.
* Analyze and identify solutions alternatives considering of multiple technologies and from multiple manufacturers.
* Develop and present solutions proposals, orally and in writing.
* Team with product groups, vendor sales and technical personnel.


QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a Computer Science-related field is required.
5+ years experience in systems or storage management/administration in a mainframe, UNIX, Windows NT or comparable computing environment.
Knowledgebase with at least one major backup/recovery software framework (EMC Networker, Symantec Netbackup and IBM TSM) along with a knowledge of general backup/recovery concepts (i.e. database logging, backup leveling, media management, etc.).
Knowledge of industry leading tape and tape library management systems.
Knowledge Storage Area Network technologies is required.
Strong communications, both verbal and written are essential in this role.
Demonstrated motivation, initiative and ability to work independently, as well as part of a high-performance team.
Previous technical pre-sales experience is required.

SALARY
100K - 130K plus commission
