Summary of the job The B2B Product Specialist plays a lead role in supporting technical field personnel on delivering B2B solutions. Specifically this role will be focused on providing solutions to the fast growing healthcare market primarily around HIPAA and HL7 implmentations and compliance. The Product Specialist is a technical member of the sales team who works to ensure technical wins during sales cycles by performing technical qualification of opportunities, architecting solutions, performing solution demonstrations, and proving Informatica’s technical capabilities. A candidate must have experience in deploying best practices and methodologies through the use of technology to address data strategy, data ingress/egress in a company, data standards and data format mediation; as well as, be up-to-date on the latest trends in data integration in such areas as software, hardware, architectures and design methodologies. Core Responsibilities: Work with field sales consultants, account managers, channel managers, professional services, and partners to define and execute account plans and sales strategies for pursuing specific opportunities Provide responses to technical sections of Requests-For-Proposals (RFPs), Requests-for-Information (RFIs), and other technical inquiries to aid in the development of new business Explain the benefit of Informatica’s products (including but not limited to their architecture, features, technical/business benefits, etc.) to prospects through presentations, detailed discussions, demos, and other proof points in order to reinforce the value proposition driven by the account team Define and propose technical architectures (including associated business and technical benefits) that meets the objectives and requirements of prospects Ensure customer satisfaction and referencability through post-sales assistance with technical questions and issues Provide Product Management, Product Marketing, and R&D with input and feedback on product direction, individual features, and positioning Compose and publish technical white papers, case studies, webzine articles, articles for technical/industry magazines, etc. for external consumption Grow and enhance your personal knowledge of industry trends, company solutions, information technology, and your competition Secure and execute speaking engagements at industry conferences, partner events, and user groups Required Skills: Degree in computer science or technical discipline At least 5 years of implementation and/or pre-sales experience Possess a strong working knowledge of database technologies, various operating systems, data extraction, HIPAA, HL7, and other healthcare related formats. Possess an ability to collaborate with client and sales teams employing excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong capabilities in XML / XSD.
