Job Summary: Informatica’s License Management Services (“LMS”) is chartered to protect Informatica’s intellectual property rights and software copyrights by cooperatively working with our customers and/or partners to ensure contractual license compliance. The goal of LMS is to assist our customers and/or partners achieve and maintain compliance by performing objective license reviews. Reporting to the License Compliance Senior Manager, the License Compliance Manager will work with INFA customers/partners to resolve compliance issues and ensure proper capture of license and maintenance revenue to INFA while preserving the relationship. Core Responsibilities Plan and conduct license reviews to ensure INFA software is used/distributed in compliance with the associated license agreements. Interpret license agreements and maintenance renewal records by conducting license reconciliations. Obtain a thorough understanding of INFA environments to provide license analysis and guidance. Prepare compliance reports for distribution to INFA customers/partners and INFA Sales. Provide licensing education to internal and external customers. Engage and coordinate with 3rd party audit firms in conducting complex license reviews. Drive enhancements to the license report collection and analysis process. Explore new processes and procedures to increase the success of LMS. License Reviews: require working closely with INFA customers to conduct system queries and installation of usage utilities and scripts to obtain product usage data. Obtain a thorough understanding of the customer’s INFA environment. Analyze customers INFA usage data and deliver the findings to customers including a road map back into compliance. Ensure successful closure of the license review. Partner Reviews: require the analysis of all inbound royalty reports to evaluate potential targets for review. Understand identified partners’ applications resold with INFA technology and the associated license agreements. Review and reconcile software sales activities and accompanying maintenance records and deliver the findings to partners including a road map back into compliance. Ensure successful closure of the partner review. Required Skills: Minimum 3 years experience in license compliance auditing. Advanced technical (IT) skills and business knowledge. Strong presentation and written / verbal communication skills. Experience in working with C-level personnel. Strong analytical and research skills, and attentiveness to detail. Ability to comprehend and interpret complex licensing issues. Experience and strong understanding of Software License Agreements. Ability to analyze and interpret key relationships and concepts. Ability to relate smaller concepts to the overall "big picture". Ability to work independently. Successful management of multiple projects. Understanding of software industry and INFA software a plus. Strong interest in technology. Up to 15% travel required. BS/BA degree in MIS, Finance or related degree. CPA preferred.
