The Role
The Bid Manager will lead the Bid Response Development process. Management of team members individuals responsible for bids covering all solution offerings within Tata Communications and all of our Service Offerings. Focus on large-scale complex bids, this could include multi-country activities.

Bid Managers will be in-region resource to manage the Bid process:

Assessing of the bid resources required and their availability

Reviewing and monitoring progress and resolving issues and problems
Initial Risk Plan summary and completed Risk Plan for Bid Submission
Producing the Bid PID and establishing the Bid Library (and other bid infrastructure)

Managing the output of qualification activities including assumptions and dependencies and planning for Due Diligence completion

Producing a costed Bid Plan and gaining authorisation for the plan

Producing the final Proposal. Own the final editorial rights of the proposal.

The Bid Manager will be accountable for (but may delegate responsibility) for:

Identification of the skills and capabilities for the bid and the contract fulfillment or from third parties

Ensuring that all Project and Service Plans have been reviewed and updated

Managing the Bid budget (if required)

Recording, analysing and managing issues, risks, changes and dependencies during the bid

Arranging Business Approval Review and Contract Approval Review (Commercial Management may be responsible)
Arranging Bid (and/or bid stage) initiation meetings (CO may be responsible)



Overview of the role
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
*?Management/Leadership of bid management team and ultimately all Bid Creation.
*?Plan and manage post bid submission activity:
*?Continued activity and responsibility to raise the standard and quality of bids to increase
bid win ratio.
*?Give support and assistance to bid team members as required, to ensure bid
management provides an effective and value adding function throughout the business.

Key Interfaces
*?Client Principals: to supply qualified resources to bid solutions, to lead the bid process, to
ensure timely internal reviews and use of best practice materials.
*?Sales: to ensure that key win strategies are communicated to the bid team.
*?Delivery: to validate designs and ensure consistency between delivery and sales
*?Business operations: to validate financial, commercial, HR risks

Role skills
Critical Technical & Behavioural Skills/Qualifications
*?Experienced Bid Director, 7 years+ Bid management experience leading teams and complex bids within Telecommunications background.
*?Strong business orientation, analysis/problem solving, negotiation, resilience and
collaboration skills
*?Experienced at working with Senior Management to VP/General Manager level.
