Job Description
The Senior Director of Corporate Accounting serves as an assistant controller and will be responsible for corporate accounting department, including consolidations, corporate accruals, accounts receivables, joint venture accounting, SEC and other reporting. The Senior Director of Corporate Accounting reports to the Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.


Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and facilitate the monthly close and consolidation process, internal and external reporting to management, our parent companies, regulatory agencies and others, including SEC reporting, corporate accruals/reconciliations and joint venture/partnership accounting.

Identification and resolution of accounting issues, including working with the Manager of Technical Accounting on technical accounting issues, implementation of new accounting pronouncements and maintenance of company-wide accounting policies, accounting for complex transactions, and accounting for mergers and acquisitions and public and private debt and equity transactions

Management of corporate level shared services accounting functions, including accounts receivable and coordination with the accounts payable and property, plant and equipment departments.

Working directly with Budgeting and financial forecasting group on reporting and analysis.

Working directly with corporate development groups on financial due diligence projects

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting is required. Master Degree is a plus.
10+ years of relevant accounting experience
Experience in a corporate accounting or auditing role with a large company
Big 4 public accounting experience
CPA required
Outstanding technical accounting skills and extensive knowledge of GAAP and internal controls, including recent and current accounting guidance and updates
Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience in the midstream energy industry is highly preferred
PeopleSoft, Hyperion and Essbase experience is preferred
