Our client is a publicly owned manufacturer of dairy products. The company has been in operation for more than 25 years and has over $1B in annual sales.

Responsibilities
1) Lead/coach Maintenance personnel through pro-active communications, employee involvement, participation, individual feedback and appraisal
2) Maintain a current knowledge of all sanitation, refrigeration, packaging and storage equipment, machines and devices used to produce, package, handle, store and ship products
3) Establish, with the help of the Plant Manager, an annual maintenance plan and budget
4) Review revenues and costs relative to budget on a monthly basis and establish further action plans
5) Maintain a high standard of sanitation, housekeeping and cleanliness within the maintenance shop and related equipment areas within the facility
6) Provide professional advice regarding the repair and maintenance of all machines and equipment
7) Facilitate the timely and efficient packaging of cheese products
8) Carry out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
9) Trouble shoot and repair equipment in breakdown situations to ensure production efficiencies are achieved
10) Provide training to Maintenance and Plant staff
11) Work with other trades groups to complete project assignments
12) Deal with vendors and Engineering as required
13) Carry out electrical installations
14) Maintain/program plant PLCs
15) Develop appropriate schedules, manning and material requirements
16) Ensure the availability of the appropriate tools
17) Maintain in good repair all production, packaging, storage, shipping and material handling equipment and machines as well as the physical plant
18) Keep up with current and future technological developments and develop sound relationships within the organizations
19) Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
1) Degree (4 year) in Engineering/Journeyman Electrician ticket/3 year Technician diploma
2) 3 – 5 years of experience in a management role with a Maintenance Department
3) Previous experience in PLCs and management of maintenance programs
4) Food industry or high-speed packaging experience
