Responsibilities
1) Leading all quality, food safety and regulatory activities
2) Maintain, and implement new HACCP programs
3) Develop specifications and standards for finished products, tracking quality and safety accordingly
4) Work closely with R&D to ensure quality and safety parameters are satisfied
5) Provide technical expertise and support, as needed, to both internal and external parties
6) Ensure that all quality and safety requirements are successfully met for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods
7) Manage customer quality and safety audits
8) Produce and analyze statistical data evaluating adherence to quality and food safety standards
9) Conduct GMP audits for sanitation, plant maintenance, production, storage, shipping and receiving
10) Oversight of daily product testing relative to “gold standard” specifications
11) Manage employee quality training
12) Maintain and manage microbial and allergen programs
13) Other tasks as appropriate
Requirements
1) 5-10 years of quality and food safety experience in food manufacturing
2) Knowledge of USDA/FDA compliance, HACCP, SOPs and SSOPs
3) Degree in Food Science or Microbiology
