Responsibilities
1) Provide leadership for developing and directing Quality Assurance and Quality improvement initiatives for all products.
2) Participate with customers’ Quality Assurance representatives to provide maximum customer satisfaction with our services and products.
3) Manage and maintain an Approved Supplier Quality Program, utilizing supplier audits, statistical control programs, supplier checklists and mechanisms to monitor supplier delivery and quality trends to assure that best vendors are qualified and retained.
4) Manage and maintain the Company’s internal quality audit program and assess improvement initiatives resulting from all Quality audits, internal and external.
5) Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and finished goods.
6) Maintenance of HACCP, GMP and Quality Assurance records and forms.
7) Responsible for monitoring finished product micro results, and reviewing with the VP of Quality Assurance.
Requirements
1) 5+ years of strong quality/food safety experience in food manufacturing environment
2) Experience with bakery products and HACCP regulations
3) Excellent communication, multi tasking and problem solving skills
4) B.S. degree in food science or microbiology or related field required
