Regional Medical Center in southern Virginia is seeking a Director of Emergency Department. This position involves 24 hour accountability for the operations and oversight of the Emergency Department unit. The incumbent will manage to productive target and ensure quality patient outcomes and nursing staff ratios. Will also assure competencies of all staff; establish and ensure compliance to standards of practice and maintain the highest levels of quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. Qualifications include: graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/or equivalent; minimum 5 years RN experience in an acute hospital setting; 2 years experience in full-time supervisory/management role required; current RN license to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia; current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
