Number of Position:-One, Skills: -Minimum 2 years experience in test planning, test scripting and test execution on large scale projects-required; -Understanding of application development and database concepts in a WEB environment-required; -Strong business analysis skills – required; -Experience with testing tools such as HP Quick Test Pro and HP Quality Center-preferred; -SQL language-preferred; -familiarity with NYSIF’s environment and existing applications is a big plus. Projects: Resource will be utilized in testing PHS, Claims and enterprise-wide applications. Specifically, he/she will be assigned to: 1. Test the Business Intelligence (BI-Data Warehouse) project – BI is a stand-alone application, testing of which does not require prior knowledge of NYSIF’s legacy systems , hence minimizing the up-front learning curve factor as well as eliminating the “tail-end” dependency on the consultant, once the project is completed. - Design a detailed test plan; - Design and execute manual scripts; - Design and execute automated scripts; - Record and report test results in accordance with NYSIF’s testing methodology; - Communicate with User Test manager as well the NYSIF Project Manager on a regular basis; 2. Participate in test scripting for projects currently in or about to be delivered to User Test (specific project selection will depend on the start time of the engagement i.e. what the project status and priorities are be at that point in time). - eForms - eFROI - DP517 - Deductibles - Term Tracking 3. Provide training and expertise to User Test staff in expanded use of automated testing tools such as Quick Test Pro. 4. Provide training and expertise to User Test staff in expanded use of HP Quality Center beyond its defect tracking capability.
