Job Description
POSITION REPORTS TO: Manager - Internal Audit POSITION DESCRIPTION: Perform the tasks basic to the function within the organization which independently investigate, analyze, and prepare reports on the effectiveness and soundness of accounting, financial, information systems, and other activities throughout the operations of the company. Confer with those responsible regarding audit findings. Cooperate in facilitating the work of the company's public accountants. Plan and execute audits using a combination of internal and external resources. Interface with senior financial, sales and operations personnel. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform financial and operational audits utilizing advanced auditing techniques and practical business knowledge. Participate in the development and execution of audit programs. Prepare working papers, draft audit reports, and other materials for presentation to the Audit Committee. Work with audit management and supervise staff auditors during audits of the company’s mills, corporate facilities, and specific areas as directed by senior management. Utilize the audit function to promote awareness and value within the organization. Demonstrate a willingness to develop audit capabilities and respond to changes in statutory requirements and business needs.

Candidate Qualifications

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or related field. Three to five years in progressive accounting or auditing experience. CPA/CIA preferred. The candidate must demonstrate a general familiarity with SOX and FASB compliance concepts and proficient leadership, communication and technical skills. Good problem solving ability. Team-oriented. Willingness to travel one to two weeks per month on average.
