TITLE: Enterprise Application Support Specialist

SCOPE:

This role is for an individual who is passionate about providing support

You will possess excellent customer service skills and superior communication skills.



This is not a programming job – and client will not consider Java Developers. You must have previous support experience in a very similar environment.

Responsibilities:



· Provide functional and technical support to a J2EE web-based enterprise application and desktop suite.

· Recommend known technical & functional solutions to clients, develop workarounds and in some cases solutions for product defect resolution.

· Maintain, monitor, and develop new features for Technical Support's web-based ticket tracking system using Java and database skills.

· Work in a 9x5 environment with the flexibility to work rotating shifts and participate in on-call program in the future.

· Participate in Technical Support initiatives.



Knowledge and Skills:



Technical:

· Previous experience supporting Java/J2EE enterprise applications, proficiency in SQL and relational database systems.

· Experience and knowledge in application server (e.g. TomCat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere) would be an asset.

· This is not a programming roles and client will not hire someone who has been a Java Developer previously – this is purely Application support!

· EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE REQUIRED, as you will deal extensively over the phone with If do have these skills; e-mail a current version of your resume along with a few bullets that quickly describe your suitability for the role and this will push your application to the top.
